Miami Heat owner Mickey Airison was fined by the NBA for Tweets he made public where he criticized the handling of the NBA lockout. Airison was fined a hefty $500,000 for his explicit tweets. The original Tweets were seen like this: “How’s it feel to be a part [sic] of ruining the best game in the world? NBA owners/players don’t give a damn about fans&and guess what? Fans provide all the money you’re fighting over&you greedy [expletive] pigs.”
Arision has a point, everyone must admit that. The biggest loser in the NBA lockout, just like in the NFL lockout, is the fans. They provide the majority of the cash flow these players and owners see. I honestly think that if Airison had "reworded" his Tweet before posting it. It would have been talked about just the same, but he wouldn't have been fined for it. The only merit to the fine is the language he used. The rest is fact, and NBA knows it. Professional sports, will never be the same.
